I am honoured to feature the Best of the Best from Junebug Weddings 2015 in today’s post.  I have to say, it took me a long time to compile this post as I researched all 50 winners, visiting each of their websites in order to view more of their work – not just the winning image!  While cruising through the portfolios after a length of time, I had mixed feelings; envy at the awe-inspiring backdrops and glamorous imagery and two, utter and complete inspiration!  To be honest, it made me long to travel more than I do.  I was smitten by the vast range of styles; from cinematic influence to the beauty in natural gesture in something so simple as a wind-blown kiss.  All feelings aside, whether from an artistic or even a logical point of view, I notice one constant throughout each of their portfolios;  consistency!

“The Best of the Best contest represents a myriad of visual approaches. Many photographers take advantage of sweeping, grandiose settings and showcase couples among breathtaking displays of natural beauty. Others chose to candidly document the ceremony and reception, capturing these special moments while still composing stunning images that convey incredible emotion. But no matter what path the photographer chose, all of the portraits seem to reflect the personality of their clients—the most important aspect of all.” ~ My Modern Met

This year, June Bug Weddings received over 10,000 submissions that were narrowed down to just 50.  It’s a big job, I imagine, but they brought it down to 50.  Incredible!  Check out 15 of my favorite images below, and feel free to view the rest of the collection on the Junebug Weddings website.

Hang onto this post for the weekend as I have provided a link to each of their websites for you to cruise for inspiration and your own research.  Watch for the consistency in each of their portfolios… you will see what I mean.  Enjoy and maybe we’ll see your photo in Junebug’s choice next year!
